Our Process

Our Process (what to expect)

1. Discovery Meeting

This is an initial meeting with you, the prospective client, where we will explore your values and goals. We will determine if you are a good fit as a client and if we can add significant value to your financial life.

To make the meeting as productive as possible, please bring the following:
  • Your last two years’ income tax returns
  • Any recent financial statements prepared for refinancing, etc
  • Current bank statements, if any
  • Current mutual fund statements, if any
  • Current brokerage statements, if any
  • Current stock option and employee stock purchase plan statements from work
  • Current life insurance policy statements, if any
  • Current employee benefit statements, including 401(k) or other retirement plans, if any
  • Any wills or trusts
  • Anything else you believe would be useful in gaining a better understanding of your financial situation

Please bring in the originals of each of the documents (not web printouts) so my staff can make copies for your convenience. We prefer the original statements because they have more detail.

2. Investment Plan Meeting (about 2 weeks later)

We review all of your information (financial, values and goals) and design an investment plan for you that will integrate your goals and values.

3. Mutual Commitment Meeting (about 1 week later)

After you have reviewed the investment plan and we have answered all questions and concerns, we will proceed. During this meeting we execute all the documents associated with starting the relationship.

4. Forty Five Day Follow-up Meeting (about 45 days later)

During this meeting we organize all the paperwork you have received in a formal binder. We will explain all the paperwork you have received and show you what is important and what should be kept.

5. Regular Progress Meetings (@ specified intervals)

During the time between the mutual commitment meeting and this meeting, we design a wealth management plan based on the recommendations from our team or your team of experts. We present the wealth management plan at the first or second regular progress meeting. In addition, we review the performance of the investment accounts relative to appropriate markets. Again, we answer any questions or concerns. Finally, we begin the implementation of the wealth management plan.

During subsequent regular progress meetings, we review the implementation of the wealth management plan. We review the performance of the investment accounts. We address any changes in your life and adjust the investment plan and wealth management plan as needed.

Client Service

We provide excellent client service by responding to your inquires and questions as soon as possible. We interface with your other advisors such as accountants, attorneys, insurance agents to successfully implement your wealth management plan.
